The role BitPay will play here is it will accept payments in the digital coin and later pay AT&T in the regular fiat currencies.

Users can currently only pay for their bill in digital coins, AT&T is yet to announce if customers can make use of the digital currency and buy any of their other products online or at the stores of the company.
