In an ongoing race to ensure sustainability, crypto businesses are hiring the best brains in the crypto market. In this light, Blockstream co-founder Matt Corallo recently joined Square Crypto, the crypto arm of payments company Square. The information was made public through an official tweet from Square Crypto, which read,

Corallo is expected to leverage his experience as a bitcoin dev in Bitcoinj, FIBRE, BetterHash, Rust-Lightning, and will be work on open-source Bitcoin projects for the company. Moreover, Square Crypto mentioned his background as “the best imaginable foundation for our goal of accelerating bitcoin adoption on a massive scale.” As a matter of fact, Corallo also shared similar enthusiasm about the development through a follow up tweet,
“So excited to be joining the @sqcrypto team over the coming weeks. Experimenting with different models to accelerate Bitcoin OSS is awesome!”
