Bittrex is all set to launch the Bittrex Global Exchange platform while Bittrex International, which is the Malta-based international unit of the US crypto exchange Bittrex will cease its operation in October 29th. The official blog post stated:
“On Tuesday, October 29, Bittrex International (operated out of Malta) will be closing. This closure coincides with the launch of a new exchange partner – Bittrex Global. Bittrex Global is a new European exchange utilizing the trusted Bittrex technology platform. “
According to the post, the upcoming platform, headquartered in Liechtenstein, would require it be regulated under EU laws. Bittrex is reportedly looking forward to registering under the Trustworthy Technologies Act aka Blockchain Act. After the launch of the Bittrex Global platform, eligible Bittrex International customers will automatically be redirected to the new global exchange platform, Bittrex Global and will be prompted to accept the Bittrex Global Terms of Service. Following which the previous Bittrex International social accounts will retire.
Previously, Bittrex revealed that the latest digital asset platform would be officially launched in the capital city of Vaduz by the end of October 2019. Speaking about the platform, Bill Shihara, Founder and CEO of Bittrex had earlier said,
“Bittrex International was innovative and helped Bittrex foster the adoption of blockchain technologies worldwide.We’re excited to license our technology platform to Bittrex Global, and I look forward to seeing what they have in store for the international blockchain community”
