Hong Kong-based Crypto.com hires former Visa exec as GM of Japan
The Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency and payment platform Crypto.com hired ex Visa International Asia-Pacific executive, Nobuyuki Nagahama, as General Manager of Japan. According to an official release, the company which serves over 3 million customers worldwide claimed that this move will allow the platform to launch strategic initiatives in the Japanese cryptocurrency market. At Crypto.com Nagahama will be responsible for leading all operations in Japan.

CEO and Co-founder of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek said that the company planned to utilize Nagahama’s experience as Head of Global Network Processing at Visa to lead the payment processing business and the development of Crypto.com’s debit and prepaid offerings.
Nagahama had previously worked with consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and has held leadership roles at Capgemini Japan. Moreover, the payment expert seemed to have joined Crypto.com during the company’s expansion phase. The payment platform has recently doubled its team and planned to extend its reach into Japan’s cryptocurrency payments ecosystem.
