Cheapair.com, a California based travel service provider has added support for Ethereum as payment for its flight-booking services as reported by Travolution. The firm has been among very few travel service providers who allow users to make crypto payments for flights and hotels bookings.

Ethereum became the fourth cryptocurrency to be added in the payment option apart from Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Dash. The customers wanting to use the newly added payment option of Ethereum need to install a MetaMask wallet to support it. The MetaMask wallet is available as an add-on in major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera and even the blockchain-based new Brave Browser.

The platform has been supporting crypto payments since 2013 when it started accepting Bitcoin payments, and later expanded the portfolio to other cryptocurrencies as well. The company plans to keep expanding its crypto portfolio with the addition of new cryptocurrencies in the future.

Cheapair.com has been in the service since 1989 and provides numerous payment option for its service be it through credit card, direct money transfer or cryptocurrency. The addition of altcoins as a payment option could be a clear sign that users find altcoins like litecoin, Dash, Bitcoin Cash and now Ethereum easier to use and even cheaper in terms of the transaction fee.
