Malta-based cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, recently issued a statement regarding the addition of support for Polish Zloty and Swedish Krona fiat gateways on the platform. According to the announcement, Binance users will now be able to bind their Visa cards to purchase BTC, ETH, BNB, and XRP using Zlote (PLN) and Kronor (SEK).

Binance’s announcement clarified that PLN and SEK refer to the fiat currencies of Poland and Sweden, and do not represent any other digital currencies. Further, Binance clarified that users will be able to complete their cryptocurrency purchases in under a minute, without the need to make deposits to their accounts first.

The support for binding Visa cards was added by Binance to its platform just 12 days ago and support for Mastercard and the ability to purchase additional cryptocurrencies will purportedly be added in the future.

Binance’s announcement was made just under two weeks after the Malta-based exchange announced support for a Turkish Lira fiat gateway on the exchange, a development that now enables users in Turkey to purchase ETH, XRP and USDT using their national fiat currency.

Binance was also in the news recently for receiving approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) for its U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, BUSD.
