Ripple’s former SVP, Kahina Van Dyke joins Standard Chartered
Banking industry veteran, Kahina Van Dyke, who served as Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development at Ripple, announced joining financial services company, Standard Chartered on 19th February 2019.
According to the official press statement, Dyke will be serving as the Global Head, Digital Channels and Client Data Analytics at Standard Chartered’s Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking division [CCIB].
Apart from Van Dyke, Standard Chartered has made big recruits this year. Following the latest development, Simon Cooper, Chief Executive, CCIB at Standard Chartered,
“Kahina is joining my team at a pivotal time in our development. We have achieved a number of successes with clients, at times developing our own platforms and at others forging partnerships with fintechs, and we’re not standing still – this is a statement of intent.”
The former Ripple exec had earlier joined the SF-based blockchain firm in July 2018 and according to her LinkedIn profile, she left the company less than two years later in January 2020. At Ripple, Van Dyke primarily focussed on driving new, strategic partnerships for the firm across the global financial services industry.
Van Dyke, who has previoulsy held executive roles at Facebook, MasterCard, and Citigroup, stated,
