Tokocrypto Announces Toko Tokens as New DeFi Initiative
Jakarta, August 19, 2020 – The annual Indonesia Blockchain Week (IBW) 2020 officially began yesterday, Tuesday, August 18, 2020, with an audience of over 2.5000 tunings into the opening ceremony. Organized by Tokocrypto, IBW 2020 for the first time ever, is being hosted completely online and both Indonesians and people from all over the world can participate. IBW 2020 will run for a week with multiple webinars discussing the latest wave to hit the Blockchain space – Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
IBW 2020 opening ceremony started at 19.00 WIB and is streamed through Tokocrypto’s social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter which will also be streaming other webinar events later this week. Pang Xue Kai – CEO and Co-Founder of Tokocrypto, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) – Founder and CEO of Binance, Joselito Lizarondo – CEO and Founder of Swipe, and Justin Sun – CEO and Founder of Tron were among the guests of honor to grace the grand opening ceremony of IBW 2020.

The Indonesia Blockchain Week 2020 will run for a week with online webinars focusing on the different aspects of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) such as peer to peer lending, staking, savings, payments, and mobile wallets. The webinars will discuss topics from the differences between traditional financial systems and a decentralized financial system, to how Indonesia’s can earn additional income from the DeFi initiatives.
Indonesia Blockchain Week is organized by Tokocrypto and Co-Hosted by Binance and supported by Swipe, Syntethix Network, Aave, Tezos Foundation, Switcheo, Kyber Network, Trust Wallet, Waves, Coinmarketcap, Harmony, and Bida, as well as numerous Indonesian community and media partners. Tokocrypto introduces its first DeFi initiative: Toko Token
Jointly celebrating Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day, Tokocrypto proudly announces Tokocrypto’s first DeFi initiative, Toko Tokens (TKO). Introduced in Kai’s keynote during the opening ceremony, Toko Tokens (TKO) will be available from the end of August 2020 as a reward system to users who join Tokocrypto and share their referral codes.
In line with Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day, for every successful referral, both the referrer and referee will be rewarded with 75 Toko Tokens (TKO) each. DeFi elements such as staking, savings, and lending will be introduced into the Toko Tokens (TKO) ecosystem.
