Bitcoin’s discussion is no longer exclusive to developers and coders as a growing number from the general public is also backing the cryptocurrency. In recent news, the son of musician John Lennon- of the Beatles’ fame, and artist Yoko Ono’s son, Sean Ono Lennon, came out as a Bitcoin supporter. As part of a session on the Orange Pill Podcast on 22 November with Max Keiser, Lennon said that Bitcoin has been a source of optimism and happiness for him this year, amid a global turmoil.

The British- American musician continued to speak about bitcoin adding that BTC had given him more optimism and happiness about his faith in the near future and humanity than anything else. He believed that bitcoin offers total agency and self-sovereignty at all times.

Lennon explained how Bitcoin was unlike gold where Bitcoin cannot be stolen or taken away like the precious metal can. He added that as long as users held on to their Bitcoin private key, they could be totally self-sovereign, even during a political turmoil. Sean Ono Lennon said:

Ultimately bitcoin is something that empowers individuals it empowers people in a way they’ve never been empowered before.

Besides the musician, many other public figures have spoken about BTC and have even endorsed the cryptocurrency, which includes UFC star, Benjamin Michael Askren, nicknamed “Funky” who recently shared his opinion on Bitcoin’s increasing value.

Over the past few weeks or so, Bitcoin has been leading the crypto rally and is continuing to do so. At press time, BTC remained above $18,000, its highest ever price, this year.
